We just learned that an off-duty New York State Parole Officer shot a man who allegedly opened fire inside a Bronx lounge just after 1:45 a.m. Monday. Thankfully, our fellow Parole Officer was not injured and saved lives. 

Representation by a powerful law enforcement union like the New York State Correctional Officers & Police Benevolent Association (NYSCOPBA) is needed as Parole Officers experience more officer-involved shootings. 

We will continue to advocate on behalf of Parole Officers until our fight to join a law enforcement union becomes a reality.
