Brother and Sister Parole Officers,
Things have gone from bad to worse for us as we learned this week that PEF endorsed Governor Kathy Hochul for a full term at this week’s quarterly meeting of the PEF Executive Board.
According to PEF President Wayne Spence, “Governor Hochul recognizes the challenges members of the Public Employees Federation face delivering quality services to their fellow New Yorkers,”
PEF's endorsement of Governor Hochul is a slap in the face to all NYS Parole Officers. Let's not forget that this is the same Governor who chose former Lieutenant Governor Brian Benjamin as her No. 2 and running mate for this year’s election.
Benjamin, who co-authored "Less is More", surrendered to federal authorities this year to face bribery conspiracy charges tied to an alleged campaign finance scheme that dates back to his days as a state senator. He resigned hours after he was indicted by federal prosecutors.
Moreover, Governor Hochul signed the "Less Is More" Act into law which has tied our hands and will cause a loss of Parole Officer jobs.
To that end, PEF continues to use members' dues to fund a variety of anti-law enforcement candidates and causes.
It's time for Parole Officers to stop talking and take action against PEF by not paying union dues and opting out. All you have to do is click on the link below and fill out the form. A letter will be sent to DOCCS, and you will receive a confirmation email with follow up information.

We'd like to thank our 1,056 supporters who have shared and contributed $391.00 to promote our petition. Your support speaks volumes and helps in our fight to break away from PEF and join forces with NYSCOPBA.
In solidarity,
New York State Parole Officers
