Dear PEF Division 236 Council Leader G. Lopez:

As you may already know, our job has always been historically dangerous. The article below is a stark reminder of how dangerous our job really is. We are glad that there was no loss of life as a result of this tragic incident.  

Furthermore, in October 2020, PEF confirmed that two Parole Officers were fired upon when conducting curfew checks in NYC. We are thankful that the officers were not injured.

As peace officers under the NYS Criminal Procedure Law section 2.10, Parole Officers require representation by a law-enforcement union.  

As our Council Leader, we are reaching out to you to find out, when will PEF address the elephant in the room (Parole Officers Seeking To Join NYSCOPBA)?
