Keep the Miami Lakes 170th Street Bridge closed.

Keep the Miami Lakes 170th Street Bridge closed.
The Issue
The work for the opening of the 170 th Street Bridge took by surprise the residents of the area. We never had the opportunity to explain and discuss the consequences it would bring to the surroundings.
It would consist of worsening the traffic that is already unbearable in the area, where there are no possibilities for improvement on 87 ave, since it is impossible to do 6 lanes. It is horrible to think about the consequences of opening the Bridge opening, with the construction of the 2000 multy-family houses plus 1 million sq. ft. of retail/entertainment and 3 million sq. ft of business park proposed by the Graham Project, in addition to the largest Shopping Center in the United States(American Dream Miami) just across on the other side of I75.
This street is located within a neighborhood, which has a park where children play and ride bicycle, it is also adjacent to a canal where there are many animals, ducks, iguanas that frequently cross the street and will be severely affected. As it is today it`s a very busy area at peak hours with only two lanes and without possibilities of enlargement, unless they affect the park and damage what is a neighborhood area.
All neighbors are severely affected and worried, next November 4 will be an opportunity to show our disagreement at the Miami Dade Planning Advisory Board. If we don`t avoid the opening of the Bridge the entire area of Miami Lakes, Palm Spring North, Miami Garden and Hialeah will be a mess with the inclusion of more than 4000 people living on the other side of I75 and passing through this Bridge.
