First off, thank you for your support!

With the outpouring of support from concerned Garden City residents regarding the monster poles we’ve made it clear to the MTA and Garden City’s leadership that the poles must be removed and alternatives must be explored and executed upon immediately.  With over 1,300 supporters (and counting) we’ve created the catalyst to force those responsible to respect the character of our village and its residents.

What to do next:

Continue to share the petition and increase support! 

Most importantly, we must contact our elected officials at each level of government to make them aware and gain their support in this fight.

As a resident in the district/area you represent, I would like to call to your attention the giant utility poles that have recently been installed in Garden City along the LIRR as part of the Third Track Expansion project.  They are huge and have absolutely no place in a highly residential area.  They are much taller than the tree line and any plantings put in place after work is completed will not shield them from view.  As a Garden City resident, I am concerned about the health and safety of my family and saddened by the visual eyesore these poles are on our beautiful village.

I ask that you take action and get involved in helping Garden City residents fight to have these poles taken down.
