In 2014 Troy Buswell made a promise to follow through on a long-term solution for the Jurien Bay marina; "The task for the working group will be to come up with a long-term fix, because if we do not have a design fix, we will not solve the problem," Mr Buswell said. "I want to assure the member [Mr. Love] and the community that this is not a process that I would set up to deliver a nothing outcome."

At least once a year, since 1998 the Jurien Bay Marina is responsible for the killing of all of its inhabiting Marine life.

It is an absolute disgrace that this ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER has been allowed to occur, year after year, with no party accepting accountability for either the death of the Marine life or the proper rectification of the issue. Instead, a bandaid solution of dredging is applied, which doesn't appear to make any difference to the continuous deadly outcome.

Not only is this animal cruelty at the hands of human intervention to the natural environment, but it causes a putrid stench that permeates throughout the township. The marine life, the local residents, and the large volume of tourists to this town deserve better.

Do not let this disaster continue without action for another decade; we need FUNDING for the extension of the Marina now!
