I am starting this petition because an old friend of mine has turned insane, and it scares me. Mental health issues can affect anyone, and it's crucial that we provide the necessary support to those in crisis. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness (2019 data). Without proper intervention and care, these individuals may face severe consequences that impact not only their lives but also the lives of those around them.
