Provide free display replacement for Galaxy S22 Ultra green line issue

The Issue

As a loyal Samsung customer and a student in India, I'm deeply concerned and impacted by a widespread issue with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Recently, thousands of users, including myself, have encountered an unexpected 'green line' defect on our screens, following a software update. For students like me, who are reliant on their devices for both educational and personal use, this sudden malfunction is incredibly disruptive and unfair, especially since it's not a result of misuse but a manufacturing flaw.

Despite the clear evidence that this is a global manufacturing issue, Samsung India insists on charging up to ₹25,000 for repairs, a cost that is simply unattainable for students and many everyday users. This approach puts immense financial strain on consumers who trusted Samsung to deliver a high-quality product. It’s unjust to ask us to pay for a defect that is beyond our control and for something that Samsung should be accountable for.

We are calling on Samsung India to take immediate responsibility and provide Free of Cost (FOC) display replacements for all affected Galaxy S22 Ultra devices. We believe it is crucial for Samsung to uphold its reputation for excellent customer service and restore the trust of its Indian customer base.

In addition to replacing the defective displays, we urge Samsung India to issue an official statement acknowledging the problem and outlining steps they will take to prevent such issues in the future. Transparency in communication will not only alleviate current frustrations but will also strengthen Samsung's relationship with its customers by showing that they genuinely care.

We are not only seeking financial reimbursement but also assurance from a brand that has been synonymous with innovation and quality for years.
