Hello, I'm Satish Kumar from ASMC Bahraich, and I am writing this to highlight a pressing issue affecting countless students like myself pursuing BSc Nursing. We, as dedicated and skilled nursing students, spend years understanding and learning how to care for patients, and eventually, we also serve in hospital internships. Our roles and responsibilities in these hospital settings are crucial, similar to our counterparts in the MBBS intern program, yet we receive no financial support from the government in the form of stipends.

In government colleges of nursing, students like us devote ourselves entirely to our studies and practical work, often under the same stress and workload as MBBS interns. We engage directly with patient care, ensuring positive health outcomes and safety, which are of paramount importance. Yet, despite sharing these responsibilities and contributing to healthcare, we do not receive the financial acknowledgment that MBBS interns do.

The lack of financial support poses a significant burden, making it incredibly challenging for us to manage our living costs and educational expenses during this crucial training period. It is disheartening and demotivating for dedicated students who work tirelessly without financial aid to see their counterparts adequately supported.

The government must acknowledge the critical role nursing interns play in healthcare and extend financial stipends equivalent to those provided to MBBS interns. This change will not only alleviate the financial pressures faced by nursing students but also promote and support the nursing profession, recognizing it as an indispensable part of patient care and healthcare systems.

I appeal to the authorities to reflect on these issues and understand the importance of fair treatment and financial support for all healthcare interns.
