As part of the programme to modernise the Croydon owned bus shelters those in Norbury along Green Lane, London Rd, Norbury Crescent, and Stamford Rd were taken away by the previous contracted supplier before the new contractor was able to install the new ones.  It was understood that the new shelters should have been installed by now. The lack of shelters and the seating that is supplied with them create problems for the elderly and those with physical disabilities, as well as there being no protection in wet weather. We are particularly concerned about this in respect of the bus stop outside Freeman Court on Stanford Rd. The absence of the new shelters means that Council information and local events cannot be displayed for the benefit of local residents. 

We call upon Croydon Council to ensure that the new bus shelters are installed in Norbury by the end of August.
