Dissent has taken over the Hindi Heartland against the government's pro dalit attitude of caste appeasement by SC ST Amendment Act. Not only in Madhya Pradesh but also Uttar Pradesh is miffed against the government's move of reviving the Act. To convince the miffed core supporters of BJP, meetings have been called by cabinet and messages are sent out to 'Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vaishyas' to not to commit mistake as it did in the General Election of 2004 by not backing late PM Atal Behari Vajpayee.
So instead of reconsidering its decision of reviving the Act, the government is actually trying to brainwash the swarnas to not to go into protests against arbitrary arrests due to election compulsions of the ruling party. The government is still under the impression that the Generals are that fool to come to its terms of anything in nature.
Swaranas have awaken to their rights and would not stop this time for raising its voice. Not only the Generals, even BJP party members are miffed against the government decision that they are ready to even resign from their posts. Issues have started brewing within the party itself and so the people.
It is a very sad state of affairs that government is reaching out to non SCs and STs for support to its decision of revival of the draconion Act terming it as election compulsive move but not listening to the apathy of victims of false arrests and prosecution of General community who have paid heavy price in the country for being 'Upper Caste'. General community have resided in the country as second class citizens whether in employment or in seeking justice.
We are the core/traditional supporters of the BJP but now we reamain no more. We have the fundamental right of seeking equality in this country. It is believed that in the coming general election NOTA would gain prominence among Generals and that is why government is trying its best to make fool of the generals by saying NOTA would help oppositions to gain vote which would be threatening to the democracy.
If at all government and its allies are trying to pacify the Generals one thing is very sure that they are not intended to reconsider the draconion measures added in the SC/ST Amendment Act to woo dalit voters but instead trying to find a solution to suppress the voice of Generals by convincing them to withdraw protests. We do not play any role in the democracy according to the government and that is why they are wooing dalits who are considered majority game changer in any election.
This time we have to prove our unity and we would bring the stubborn Pro-dalit ruling party to their knees for our fundamental rights and would press NOTA, if the government does not dilute the provision of automatic arrest in the Amendment Act. Let us make the protest a huge success but in a decent and dignified manner like Gandhi did for Satyagraha Movement to free our country from the clutches of britishers.
Jai Hind!
