The Issue

We, the undersigned residents of the Star Fort Subdivision and surrounding residences in Winchester,VA in and around the Sunnyside area, urgently request that county authorities investigate and address the excessive nighttime noise caused by the concrete casting company operating adjacent to our neighborhood.

📍 What’s happening:

The facility routinely runs heavy-duty equipment, metal casting operations, and loud industrial vehicles during overnight hours, often well past midnight. This unrelenting noise violates the peace of our residential community and disrupts sleep, exacerbates health issues, and disturbs the well-being of families, children, and seniors.

⚖️ What we’re asking for:

• Enforce local noise ordinances during sensitive hours (e.g., 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

• Require the company to implement sound-dampening solutions (e.g., acoustic barriers, schedule changes)

• Impose penalties for non-compliance with Frederick County code § 15-92: “Noise disturbances harmful to health and welfare”
