Families gather for weekends filled with recreational driving and horse riding. Beyond personal enjoyment, these activities foster our local economy and preserve traditions passed through generations.

Yet, a hasty proposal threatens this irreplaceable piece of our lives. The creation of the Great Southern Forest National Park is set to annex a staggering 1.2 million hectares of our beloved State Forests, permanently shutting the gates on hunting, camping, and most forms of public and traditional use without adequate public consultation. This park could cease all forms of grazing and beekeeping, integral activities practiced by our primary producers for decades. Our vibrant community events, like rally charity drives, pivotal in raising funds for local causes, are at risk of becoming memories of the past.
