The Issue

Kimberly and Leigh, caring individuals with a dedicated mission, have selflessly rescued distressed farm animals for many years, providing a safe haven for the unwanted, unloved, abused, and abandoned. Their compassion extends into a tangible representation - A-1 structures, purpose-built additions to house these animals. Structures that were assuredly sanctioned by the necessary authorities prior to their construction.

Now, this sanctuary is under threat. The laws that once enabled them to create this safe haven are now being leveraged to dismantle it. This sudden shift is an infringement on their rights as property owners and an attack on their devotion to animal welfare.

According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), around 1.5 million animals are euthanized each year. Sanctuaries like theirs ensure these figures do not rise and provide vital rehabilitation for these animals. Enforcing the removal of A-1 buildings not only creates undue strain on them but also negatively impacts the animals they shelter.

We urgently call upon local governmental bodies to uphold their initial permissions, allowing these A-1 structures to remain. These physical spaces are indispensable to the noble cause they have undertaken. By signing this petition, you stand up for equitable property rights and advocate for the continued rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned farm animals. Let us save this home that saves lives. Please sign our petition calling for protection of people's rights to keep their legally obtained structures.
