I am a Certified Bowen Therapist and Certified Aromatherapist in the beautiful city of Miramichi, New Brunswick. For 35 years, I've dedicated my life to offering natural, holistic wellness support services to my community. However, my career and passion are now under threat. The Massage Therapy Association, regulations, could potentially dismantle my livelihood and prevent me from practicing the therapies I love and believe in.

Wellness services like Aromatherapy and Bowen Therapy have provided countless benefits to individuals seeking natural health solutions without the constraints of traditional medicine. In many cases, these holistic practices have been pivotal in guiding people to better health and wellness, offering relief from stress, pain, and supporting well-being.

The Massage Therapy regulations, while undoubtedly crafted with good intentions, fail to recognize the legitimate practice and benefits of unregulated wellness services. These therapies, while not traditionally included under the regulated umbrella, have offered safe and effective health solutions to many. As a practitioner with decades of experience, I have countless testimonies from satisfied clients who can attest to the transformative effects of these holistic therapies on their lives.

It's essential to emphasize that choice is a fundamental right. Clients have the right to choose the type of wellness services they wish to pursue. By imposing undue restrictions and regulations on holistic practices, we are not only limiting this choice but also denying access to unique wellness pathways.

My plea is simple: allow unregulated therapists to continue offering these valuable services without unnecessary regulatory burden. The success and well-being of both providers and clients in our community depend on this freedom.

I urge the policymakers of The Massage Therapy Association of New Brunswick to reconsider the impacts of these regulations. Support the diversity of wellness options available to our community and protect the industry that many have come to rely upon. Please stand with me in defending the right to offer and access unregulated wellness services, such as Bowen Therapy and Aromatherapy in the Province of New Brunswick.
