Several updates to share!
We have two new endorsers this week for the campaign. They are:
1) The League of Women Voters of Ohio, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
2) The Ohio Student Association (OSA) is a statewide organization led by young people. OSA engages in values-based issue & electoral organizing, nonviolent direct action, advocacy for progressive public policy, and leadership development. On campuses and communities across Ohio, we organize young people to build independent political power.
On February 23rd, the ACLU of Ohio, the Children's Law Center, and Disability Rights Ohio will be on a panel called Locked Up and Alone: Realities of Solitary Confinement for Adults and Youth in Ohio. It is a group effort of The Family and Youth Law Center at Capital University Law School, Children's Law Center, ACLU of Ohio, and Disability Rights Ohio. It is a free presentation (approved for 2 CLEs) It will be in Columbus, Ohio from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Here is a link for that.
