Cultural Protection Overlay District Special Meeting on Monday, September 16th

Monday night the Beaufort County Council went into Executive Session to discuss the Pine Island mediation.  They returned to state that they will call a special meeting on Monday, September 16th in order to hear from the attorneys of the parties in this case.  We will send out updates with more details when we know the time of that meeting.  In the meantime, please view this video from Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation's statement at the September 9th county council meeting:
