My name is Oliver and I am a student doing a project at school in year 5, about a global issue - the looming extinction of the Amur Leopard. Considered as one of the rarest big cats in the world, the Amur Leopard population has reduced to an alarming estimated number of 84 in the wild according to a survey conducted by the Land of the Leopard National Park. 

Loss of habitat due to illegal logging, illegal poaching for their exotic fur and bone, and reduction of their primary food  source are the main factors that have driven this species to the edge of extinction. If we fail to act now, we may very soon lose this beautiful creature forever.
