On May 28th a REFUSAL for this pond was issued by the West Cornwall Sub planning Committee.

BUT 

Despite the risk of flooding to Homes and the Environmental damage to this Ancient and Historic Valley, to its rich flora and fauna, (which is just beginning to recover from the first onslaught of this excavation ) 

Despite encouraging and allowing waterfowl onto this pond, which lies directly below the flight path of the planes to and from The Scilly Isles. Allowing the risk of a Birdstrike to bring down a plane crashing down and possibly killing passengers and destroying homes.

The Landowner, despite all of this and an Enforcement being issued, has illicitly carried out more excavation work and refilled this Dam/Lake . ( 2 high banks above ground level holding back a huge volume of water. Effectively a Dam.)   Extracting water from the Cot Stream. And has now appealed to the Planning Inspectorate to be allowed to keep this dangerous water feature. No Empathy for anxious neighbours waiting to be flooded or a plane crashing through their roofs . AND no concern whatsoever for the Environmental damage .
