Take Action Before August 27! Planning Commission Reviewing Data Center Laws

Spokane County’s Planning Commission is now considering zoning rules that could shape how large data centers are regulated in our county. If you have concerns about their impacts on water, power, infrastructure, ratepayers, or surrounding communities, now is the time to make your voice heard.

Please take a few minutes to do these three things:

2. Attend the Planning Commission meeting — Thursday, August 27 at 4:30 PM 🗓️‼️

You can participate in person or remotely via Zoom. Spokane County Planning Commission meetings allow public participation, generally with up to three minutes per speaker. If they say you can't talk about the data center, say you're talking about water supply and electric rates! They are trying to silence us!

3. Submit a written public comment

You don't need to be an expert or write a long statement. Tell the Planning Commission, in your own words, what you want Spokane County to consider before establishing rules for these projects.
