Protect South Africans Already in America Under Executive Order 14204

Protect South Africans Already in America Under Executive Order 14204
The Issue
We respectfully call on the United States government to protect South Africans already living in America who fled the same dangerous conditions now formally recognized under Executive Order 14204.
The violence, targeted threats, instability, and discrimination recognized by the Executive Order have been affecting many South Africans for decades and have escalated significantly over the last 15 years.
Many Afrikaners and other qualifying South Africans already in the United States fled these exact same conditions long before the Executive Order was signed. They came legally seeking asylum, safety, freedom, and a future for their families.
Today, many of these families still have unresolved asylum cases, prior denials, or are facing deportation proceedings — despite the United States government now officially recognizing the dangers they fled.
This creates a serious contradiction.
If these conditions are now recognized as grounds for refugee protection, then people already here who fled those same dangers should not be deported back into them.
We respectfully ask the Administration to:
• Reopen, review, or expedite asylum cases for people whose claims now align with Executive Order 14204 and current U.S. policy recognition
• Temporarily stop deportation or removal proceedings for eligible individuals while their cases are being reviewed
• Create a lawful review process for Afrikaners and other qualifying South Africans already in the United States whose situations match the protections described in Executive Order 14204
America has always stood for faith, family, freedom, and the protection of people fleeing persecution. We respectfully ask the Administration to apply those principles consistently and compassionately to those already here seeking safety.
