Our community was built as a peaceful place for families to live, grow, and thrive. The south side of Twenty Road West sits directly across from our homes, schools, and neighbourhoods — and we do not want factories, warehouses, smoke stacks, or industrial traffic replacing the landscape we value.

The City is currently considering zoning this area for employment uses such as warehouses and industrial development. If approved, these projects could begin appearing within the next 24 months.

Industrial development would bring:

• Increased truck traffic
• More noise and pollution
• Reduced air quality
• Lower property values
• A decline in overall quality of life

We support economic growth, but not at the expense of our families and residential communities. There are more appropriate locations for industrial development that do not directly impact existing neighbourhoods.

We are calling on City officials to protect the south side of Twenty Road West by zoning it for residential development only.
