Protect Public Health Now! Petition For Stronger Alcohol Warning Labels!
The Issue
Demand Stronger Alcohol Warning Labels: Protect Public Health Now
For decades, millions of people have consumed alcohol without fully understanding the serious health risks associated with it. Studies have linked alcohol consumption to cancer, liver disease, mental health disorders, and addiction, yet most consumers remain unaware due to outdated and insufficient warning labels. Those most impacted include young adults, pregnant individuals, communities of color, and people in recovery, who often face higher rates of harm with little education on the long term effects. The lack of transparency is a public health crisis one that we can and must change.
At stake is our right to informed choice. Unlike tobacco products, alcohol packaging does not prominently warn consumers of its cancer risks, its role in worsening mental health, and its potential to cause lifelong health complications. Without bold, science-backed labels, people continue to be misled by marketing that promotes alcohol as a normal, even beneficial, part of life when in reality, it is one of the leading causes of preventable disease worldwide. If we don’t act, corporate interests will continue to profit at the expense of public health, leaving generations vulnerable to misinformation and harm.
Now is the time to demand change. The Surgeon General has proposed stronger alcohol warning labels, and we have the momentum to push for legislation that makes them mandatory. At More Life Liquid, we believe in conscious consumption ensuring people have the information they need to make the best choices for their health. We are calling on lawmakers, health advocates, and everyday people to stand with us in demanding clear and honest alcohol labeling. Sign this petition today to help create a future where truth comes before profit, health comes before industry interests, and people are empowered to make informed choices about their bodies and well-being.
