Thank you for all the startup support in just 2 days!
We have to demand a better alternative as environmental excellence with our new State Funded active cycleway connections.

$28M is a massive budget and it should not be concrete-walling the surviving natural riverbanks for the future. The Old Kings School (OKS) riverfront needs rehabilitation, to restored as the Billabong-like wetland shoulder it always was, with Swamp Oak, Sedges, Reeds, Paperbark trees and native pasture grass - a beautiful natural habitat corridor at the City doorstep...!

Way back in 2017 the Council's Environmental Sustainability Strategy claimed to focus on being "Leading by Example", "A City in Nature" and "Built for the Future" - what happened?

Today, also make sure to write direct to your Councillors & Council on Participate Parramatta (HERE), to express objection and ask to see the budget items, AND an Alternative put on Public Exhibit with full boardwalk over water (southbank) and Billabong (northbank at OKS).

See the photo above as astounding evidence of the original Burramatta wetland margins that are highly able to be reconstructed, along with the OKS brick steps.
