The Issue

***ATTENTION ALL VOTERS***

Currently, many Shasta County school districts are out of control with agendas that a lot of us have thought were only affecting the rest of California. In some cases, we’re being kept in the dark ON PURPOSE. Over the last decade, school boards have allowed dangerous policies to go through unchallenged. These policies have paved the way for the implementation on K-12 campuses and classrooms things such as Gender Support Plans, compelled speech (which violates each student and staff member's First Amendment right), CRT (Critical Race Theory), SEL (Social Emotional Learning), Sexuality Alliance Clubs for minors, and inappropriate supplemental materials, lesson plans, and news programs with little oversight.
All of this is being done behind the backs of hard-working parents who simply want their children to receive a quality education, free of these dangerous, deviant, or distracting ideologies. Although these school districts publicly claim to value parental input, parents are rapidly being stripped of their parental right to choose what is best for their child.

By signing this petition you will:

Advocate for parental rights in education and the rights of all
parents to have a voice and a choice, and for that voice to be
heard and respected by the school board.
Demand your school board affirm that your parental rights are a
fundamental right.
Support school boards in reviewing and adopting our proposed
Parental Rights Resolution.

REMEMBER- School board members are the gatekeepers of our schools. If we
allow state-driven policies and ideologies to continue to erode our local school
districts, our children will not have the educational foundation needed to be
successful later in life.

Guidance and Counseling- As of now, students can receive mental health counseling from the school districts' choice of the provider without parental notification or consent. This includes gender transitioning care without parental notification or consent and you may lose custody of your child if CFS determines that you attempt to impede transitioning in any way.

FORCED SPEECH- Currently, your child can be forced to utilize a student's,
teacher's, or other staff's preferred pronouns which is compelled speech and
ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court because it violates an individual's
First Amendment Right to freedom of speech.

CRT (Critical Race Theory)- Your child will be subjected to racial guilt based on
the color of their skin due to Critical Race Theory (CRT) curriculum, lesson
plans, or materials. Teachers, school admin, and counselors may say CRT is not
in their school, but it is; it’s just not called CRT.

SEL (Social Emotional Learning)- Your child will be subjected to a form of unlicensed therapy and privacy breeches to not just your student but also your
family through Social Emotional Learning (SEL) due to data privacy concerns as
they are being surveyed on a regular basis with sensitive questions about their
mood, beliefs, family practices, and even their sexuality. SEL is also rife with
CRT ideologies.

TAKE YOUR RIGHTS BACK- These dangerous ideologies are definitely not morally or politically neutral and they distract from true and traditional educational needs and objectives. Let's get our school districts back on track and protect our children! Please SIGN AND SHARE this petition today so it can be presented to all Shasta County school boards.
