Dear Neighbors,
We wanted to share a quick update following the Town Hall meeting regarding the proposed 168 unit Elkay development. The meeting was a success, with dozens of concerned residents showing up to make our voices heard! Plus our petition has already reached 420 signatures! Together, we believe we can stop this irresponsible overdevelopment of our neighborhood.
Next Steps:
- The deadline to submit written comments to the Planning Board is December 1st. Please send any and all comments to planningboard@townofnewburgh.org so that our community’s concerns are formally recorded and considered.
- We are organizing a community strategy meeting to discuss further actions we can take, including door-to-door awareness, independent reviews, research, and more.
- Continue to ask neighbors to sign our petition, the more signatures we have the harder we are to ignore.
If you would like to help or have ideas to contribute, please send your contact information to protectnewburgh@gmail.com so we can include you in the planning.
Every comment, every idea, and every signature counts. Together, we can protect our neighborhood, our infrastructure, and our quality of life.
Thank you for your continued support!
