Update for supporters,
We have some encouraging progress to share — and a clear path forward.
**Stop Work Order Issued (Again)**
Lee County Code Enforcement Specialist Juan Guzman conducted a site visit and posted a STOP WORK ORDER at 17751 Nalle Rd, and spoke directly with the property owner's son who runs the industrial business in the back half of the land. This is the latest enforcement action taken in response to ongoing non-permitted activity at the property.
**Code Enforcement Hearing Scheduled for June 1, 2026**
We have confirmation from Commissioner Brian Hamman's office that five (5) code enforcement cases tied to this property are scheduled for a hearing on June 1, 2026. Four of those cases involve non-permitted improvements, and the fifth addresses the prohibited business operation taking place on-site. The county's Director is who approved the Stop Work Order posted to the property today.
**Evidence Collection Continues**
We will continue documenting evidence that a fabrication business — All Florida Industrial Fabrication — is operating next door in violation of the AG-2 zoning district. Photos, observations, and any activity inconsistent with the Stop Work Order will be preserved and submitted as part of the ongoing record.
**Thank You**
Thank you to Commissioner Brian Hamman for hearing our concerns and helping move this forward, and to Juan Guzman, Enforcement Specialist with Lee County's Department of Community Development for being so responsive since being assigned to these open cases last month. Responsive public servants make a real difference, and we appreciate it.
**Looking Ahead to June 1**
We are hopeful that the Special Magistrate will impose meaningful fines if the owner of All Florida Industrial Fabrication and his mother continue to allow the operation of this business in violation of zoning and permitting requirements. If the violations continue after the hearing, we will continue to escalate until the business stops operating next door to our homes.
Thank you for standing with us. Every signature on this petition strengthens the case that this is not one neighbor's concern — it's a neighborhood's concern.
More updates to follow after the June 1 hearing.
Thanks,
Matt Angerer
