Hello!  On behalf of the community, we would like to thank everyone for sharing and signing this petition over the past two weeks.  The goal is to acquire at least 1,000 signatures before submitting this petition to the decision maker at the Aliso Viejo Police Department, Administrative Sergeant Jason Duran.  I've linked his contact info here in case interested parties would like to reach out to him directly.  

The timeline we are aiming for is to acquire the remaining signatures before the end of February, so we can submit it before the city reviews any new proposals for their upcoming budget in March and hopefully, give the city time to review it and approve it before the upcoming 2026-2027 school session begins.  

The city may administer a traffic analysis on a specific date to see how much actual walking traffic there is crossing the street going from Grand towards Don Juan and Oak Grove Elementary.  If we are able to or if anyone is able to find out the date they plan on doing this review, and we are able to get as many people to walk that day, our mission would be a success.  

We will keep everyone posted, and if anyone else is able to find out any information, please leave a comment and it would be much appreciated.
