The Issue

Our previous petition, which gathered nearly 500 signatures, was mysteriously deleted . But this only proves how important our voices are.

Maybe it was a mistake — or maybe someone didn’t like how quickly we were gaining support, how loudly we were speaking, and how clearly we were standing together.

But let me say this clearly:
We will not be silenced. We will not back down.
Our community matters too much.

We, the people of St. Charles and nearby neighborhoods, are coming together with one message:

Do not destroy what makes our community home.

The proposed Claibourne Farm development  threatens to replace peaceful farmland, mature trees, wildlife habitat, and safe roads with 83 tightly packed homes squeezed into every inch of space. This project is not just a “development” — it is an irreversible loss.

Here is what’s at stake:

🌳 Trees that have stood for generations — gone.
🦌 Wildlife that lives here — deer, birds, foxes, and more — displaced or killed.
🚗 Already dangerous roads — pushed to their limit with even more traffic.
🏫 Schools and community services — stretched even thinner.
🏡 The character of our neighborhoods — replaced by corporate overbuilding.

Our community is NOT just a blank space for a corporation to profit from.
It is our home. It is where our kids play, where we walk, where wildlife thrives, where history still lives.

We are not against growth. We are against reckless overdevelopment that puts money before safety, nature, and the well-being of families who already live here.

St. Charles and its Administration has always been a city that listens to its residents and values their voices. We deeply appreciate that tradition — and today, we are asking our city leaders to continue honoring it.

We hope, and truly believe, that the City will hear us now.

We ask the City of St. Charles:
Please listen to the people you represent.
Please protect the land, the trees, the wildlife, and the safety of our neighborhoods.

Please say NO to the Claibourne Farm proposal.

Every signature is a voice.
Every voice matters.
And together, we can make sure this community stays safe, natural, and beautiful for the next generation.
