After hearing from those that attended today’s public hearing and gathering additional input, we recognize the need to expand our request. We are adding an amendment to increase the required distance between sober living homes from 650 feet to 1,000 feet—a regulation already in place in cities like Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, and Santa Ana.

This adjustment will help prevent the clustering of sober living homes in residential areas while still supporting individuals in recovery.
