Enhance security measures in our Virginia Beach Public schools, it’s time for Metal Detectors. 
Our children are growing up feeling anxious, worrying about the person sitting next to them or the teacher  standing in front of the class room.
We can’t travel on  a plane without going through lots of safety measures before being able to pass into our gates. We can’t go into most government building without going through metal detectors.  We can’t go through military gates unless you have gone through the safety measures and have authorization. VBPS what are YOU waiting for?  Isn’t it  time to enhance the current safety measures?  Metal detectors will deter someone from bringing a weapon into school, or stop someone who has a weapon on them. I don’t think it could stop all the violence, but it will enhance security and give our children peace with the additional security.  VBPS Strong now!  Let’s act now before something terrible happens. Let’s be strong now to protect our children and staff.
