My son was kicked out of school after I reported an incident involving a school faculty member that left him traumatized

My son was a student at The Broach Academy Orange Park Campus for the past couple of years. Recently the moral of the school has gone down tremendously. The only concern the school officials have is money. Rather than the well being and education of the students. Recently I have been harassed & my son was used as leverage held  in the office because a school official Who goes by the name of Brittany Schoenbeck wanted information from me .On this particular day My son was cornered and interrogated about who was picking him up from school and then made to sit in the office. When I arrived I was told I needed to come in and it was made to appear as if my son wasn't able to leave, Unless I provided her with the information she needed. Since arriving I was going on my fourth request for the release of my son. (Normally my son is picked up from his classroom.) 

I was headed to a doctor's appointment ( I'm a stroke survivor)and told her I could not and that I needed my son so that I could leave. She insisted that I come in. I expressed how I felt that what she was doing was wrong and that I was working on getting the information that she requested but that she did not give me enough time to obtain it. The information was requested Wednesday Afternoon. It was only Friday Afternoon I have been trying to obtain the information she wanted but the website has not been working properly. I was told my son could not come back to school if I didn't get out the car and give her what she wanted. I became upset and refused after more words were exchanged. She finally released my son. He was very upset and still is over the entire ordeal. He feels that he has been targeted and harassed as well. This is unacceptable.

My son is afraid to return back to school. I kept my son home a week after the incident occurred and tried to resolve it with the director. I have even taken my son to the doctor and he is being referred for psychological help. My son's doctor advised me that because he's been at that school for so long it was best for his mental health to try to reintegrate him back in school but speak to director about the individual and see if she can avoid contact with my son.

When I originally spoke to director she was on board with ensuring that there will be no interaction between the individual my son and myself. But now that she has received the financial information that they so desperately wanted. The narrative had changed.

When I attempted to reintegrate my son on Monday December 5th the story has been flipped. I met with the Principal and assistant principal to express my concerns.being that I am a stroke survivor sometimes my words are not always articulated correctly and I can not verbalize clearly what is on my mind the staff is aware of this. However the principal tried to get me to say certain things so that she can use them against me and that's exactly what she did.

After speaking with them and providing them with the information that started all of this I was told that the director needed to be contacted before my son can come back to school .( My son was already there)

 When the director Kathy Foster phoned me she was already on attack mode. I could barely get a word in. The director in more words than one expressed that my son was no longer welcome at the school and that the incident that occurred did not traumatize him, basically implied that we are lying. There are several other parents that have stated that the same individual has harassed them on numerous occasions yet no disciplinary actions has been taken. My son was an AB honor roll student and just received a leadership award. He is now left traumatized and without a school. I'm not certain what to do or where to turn so I'm reaching out to you. A CHANGE NEEDS TO BE MADE! PUT OUR CHILDREN FIRST OVER DOLLARS!
