Protect Our Children after Dallas Predator Conviction

Protect Our Children after Dallas Predator Conviction
The Issue
A Dallas-area man has been convicted for his role in one of the most disturbing child abuse networks ever uncovered online. As part of Operation Grayskull, a global investigation led by the FBI and DOJ, authorities dismantled four dark web sites dedicated to the sharing and distribution of child sexual abuse material. These sites didn’t just trade in horrific content — they taught predators how to stay hidden, avoid law enforcement, and keep harming kids in secret.
The man convicted in Dallas was sentenced to more than 14 years in prison. He wasn’t some faraway figure — he lived here, among us. And if one person in our own community was involved, we have to ask: Are there more? Could more victims be suffering in silence? Are we doing everything we can to prevent this from happening again?
That’s why we’re calling on the Texas Attorney General and local law enforcement to immediately investigate any additional Texas ties to Operation Grayskull. We need a full review of possible accomplices, overlooked victims, and weak points in our state’s child protection systems. At the same time, we need stronger vetting and digital safety standards in places where children are most vulnerable — from schools and churches to youth programs and online platforms.
We support the work of federal investigators and applaud the conviction. But this case proves that online exploitation isn’t just a distant threat — it’s here. It’s real. And it’s happening closer to home than we want to believe.
Texans have a right to know the full extent of this danger. Families deserve protection. And children deserve to grow up free from this kind of abuse — both online and in their communities.
Sign this petition if you believe Texas must act now to investigate, protect, and prevent further harm — before another child slips through the cracks.
