Student Trustee's Taylor Dallin and Kathy Nguyen, have gathered feedback and compiled a report to help address the student's most important concerns, with recommended action items for The Catholic Student Leadership Impact Team to focus on during this school year. The issues raised were categorized within five key pillars that represent the collective voice of the students, and (in random order) are titled:

1) Rooted in Christ - Growing in Faith
2) Environmental Stewardship
3) Mental Health and Well-Being
4) Multiculturalism and Indigenous Education
5) Respecting Differences, Inclusion and Belonging for our LGBTQ+ Community

Their findings and report can be found here, starting on page 32.

The student's hard work and enthusiasm to share their findings during their presentation to the board, on October 2nd, 2019, was awkwardly deflated by Trustee Lubinski, who passed a motion to amend their (already published) findings, requesting to modify their LGBT+ inclusive language. This ultimately did not pass. Additionally, after failing to awknowledge their presentation, Trustee Del Grande disparagingly added "If that club or whatever, said they wanted to fly the pride flag... would we entertain that?" and "..the code of conduct that apparently the Ontario Human Rights wants us to put in, if that was in the terminologies etc, would that then be challenged..?"

The entire board meeting is located here.

On behalf of the students and staff that spent countless hours working on this report, Trustee Dallin graciously stated “We don't believe there should be any exceptions to the concept that we have one human family, that we should have everyone involved and have that sense of belonging within that one human family".
