This disturbing photo showcases just some of the high profile suspensions of high-achieving state and local NAACP leaders and civil rights workers who were suspended off the justice battlefield, many while in the prime of their tenures, WITHOUT DUE PROCESS.

This looks like a 1960’s page out of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s   Counter Intelligence Program (COINTELPRO) hit-list designed to “NEUTRALIZE THE RISE OF A BLACK MESSIAH.”  

These unprecedented numbers of NAACP suspensions without fair and impartial due process are being administered via the hierarchical decision of the National NAACP President & CEO Derrick Johnson whose tenure began in 2017.  

Further, no matter how much we try to communicate with Mr. President & CEO, our humble, respectful, and internal attempts to resolve these matters are arrogantly ignored.  Consequently, our efforts are not in anyway done to hurt the NAACP.  It is an organization I have loved, admired, and have been proudly a part of since childhood.  We are therefore humbly seeking to protect the civil rights of our own civil rights workers on the ground, and save the NAACP from an internal and hierarchical hijacking.

While, under Article X, Section 4 of the NAACP Constitution, its gives the National President authorization to suspend members of the NAACP, Johnson has taken the top-down and hierarchical-approach to a new and egregious level which sits high and punishes rather than supports the workers on the ground.  Consequently, we seek a bottom-up approach to freedom fighting and do not seek a top-down approach which comes from the playbook of our oppressors.  

In the Bible’s book of Proverbs, we are warned - “Be ye not envious of the oppressor and choose none of his ways.”  Consequently, the prophets who came before us were wrongfully punished, scandalized, and discredited in their attempt to do good as the oppressor and some of his oppressed imitators worked to keep us in the “fiery furnace.”  

However, some of us have decided we will not be discouraged, we will “rejoice and be exceedingly glad;” we will not be silenced while knowing that we continue to fight a “spiritual war” and not one of flesh and blood.  We will use the “fire” from the “furnace” of wrongful punishment to remain “fired up and ready to go!”  May God bless each of you who have supported us, prayed for us, and encouraged us as we fight this most difficult fight.

Rather than looking for more Black NAACP officers and potential leaders to “neutralize” let’s pray that our National NAACP will be reborn or readopt its original purpose and TOGETHER we can “neutralize” injustice;  “neutralize” U.S. Government Sponsored Genocide in Gaza;   “neutralize” domestic terrorism’s KKK-violence in America which has become upgraded from White Sheets and Ropes to sophisticated tax-payer-funded police uniforms, badges, militarized weaponry and armored vehicles.  

I pray we can again work TOGETHER to   “neutralize” the oppression which packs the prisons of mass incarceration with record wrongful convictions;   “neutralize” jealousy, insecurities, and internal oppression exemplified by in-fighting and back-biting from “civil rights” colleagues; “neutralize” Black self-hatred that is now deeply woven into the musical beats we love and is played out in the streets as the Black community and particularly young Black males become casualties and statistics which in 2021, recorded the highest number of Blacks killed by firearms than at anytime on record.  

But the good news is, there is an army of God’s “good fighters” that is in the process of rising up against this silent neutralization of some of our best and brightest civil rights activists.  Please continue to join us as we “fight the good” on the right side on TRUTH; on the right side of JUSTICE; on the right side of CONSTITUTIONALITY; on the right side of MORALITY; on the right side of GOD THE ALMIGHTY!

Many of these activists and local and state NAACP leaders were arbitrarily caught off guard with a suspension from the National NAACP President & CEO that they did not see coming, while on the ground with the grassroots, fighting some of the nation’s most egregious acts of racism.  

If we do not stand and unite against the neutralization of Black activism, regardless of which color and set of hands are sent to do some of the less visible dirty work, we will never “get to the Promised Land.”  And rather than meeting the spirit of those such as the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr at ”the Mountain Top,” we will remain stuck killing and “neutralizing” each other in the Gutter of Foolishness and Black Self-Destruction.  

Therefore this is an urgent, yet humble call to RISE UP, STAND UP AND WALK WITH US TOGETHER.  Because “the harvest is too plenteous and laborers are few” to internally mistreat, wrongfully convict in the court of public opinon, and “neutralize” the few who volunteer their service toward the cause of justice.
