The Oak tree above was over 199 inches in circumference!  We estimate it was over 300 years old! It was destroyed with thousands of other trees for Ford's Blue Oval Battery Factory. Ironic isn't it?   We are being told this is for the betterment of the planet.  We know that this is not true. This is a corporate welfare project being subsidized by our government in the NAME of "green" energy.   This project will destroy over 2,000 acres of farmland with an ADDITIONAL 1,000 acres of farmland next door that is being changed to industrial.  Marshall WILL become the largest industrial center in Michigan.

Please Sign up to Speak at the MEDC Michigan Strategic Fund Board meeting on Tuesday (April 25th) morning at 9am. You can call in or attend via zoom.  Please speak to the lack of transparency in this process.  You can live anywhere in the state.  The state is spending One billion 700 million dollars on THIS corporate welfare project. They are also working on the Gotion project (another 700 million) and in Eagle Michigan and China Township.   The MEDC is funneling OUR money to corporate interests!    You can also send them an email at wilcoxk5@michigan.org  (you must send this by 3pm Monday) If you miss that deadline though, send anyway.

Also- Please attend the Joint Planning Commission Meeting on Tuesday, April 25th at the City Council Chambers (this could move to the Calhoun County Bldg). Please ask them NOT to change the zoning on 1,100 from agricultural to heaving industry!   This should be voted upon by the residents.
