Z JAZ, Stati Uniti
10 feb 2026

The next major decision point for Falcon Field is approaching. Mesa City Council is tentatively scheduled to consider the proposed airport fee structure, including landing fees, on Monday, March 23 at 5:45 PM. This meeting will be critical for the future of our neighborhoods, our property values, and the long-term balance between airport activity and the surrounding community.

We expect two very different perspectives to be presented that night. The aviation lobby will likely argue that landing fees are unfair, that they could hurt economically, and that activity might shift to other airports. Our community’s position is different and straightforward: taxpayers should not be asked to subsidize the wear, congestion, and pollution created by high-volume repetitive flight training, especially when most residents never use the airport. Landing fees are a lawful, standard tool used to keep airports financially self-sustaining while encouraging more balanced and responsible operations.

This is why showing up matters. Public presence helps Council understand that real families, homeowners, and voters are directly affected by nonstop training congestion and are asking for a fair, sustainable solution.

Please plan to attend March 23 and arrive early so we can fill the chamber and ensure our voices are heard. If you are comfortable speaking, coordinate with community leaders in the Facebook group ahead of time so our message is clear, respectful, and focused on fairness, sustainability, and protecting Mesa neighborhoods.

We have come too far to stay silent now.
March 23 is our moment to stand together!
