Petition updateProtect Mesa Neighborhoods from Flight School Lead Exposure and Excessive NoiseThe Media Needs to Know: Our Kids Are Breathing Lead… From Above

Falcon Field’s low-flying training planes are doing more than making noise, they’re filling our air with lead.

The facts:

Leaded aviation fuel is the #1 source of airborne lead in the U.S.

Even tiny amounts of lead permanently damage children’s brains, lowering IQ, slowing learning, and increasing behavioral problems.

Lead from plane exhaust falls within a 1.5-mile radius of flight paths, coating homes, yards, and playgrounds.

Mesa neighborhoods like Alta Mesa, Red Mountain Ranch, and Apache Wells are under constant repetitive training loops, meaning daily exposure.

The FAA admits unleaded aviation fuel exists. It’s called G100UL and 100R, but Falcon Field and its flight schools haven’t switched. Why? Because leaded fuel is slightly cheaper, and they’re putting profits over public health.

WE DEMAND:

Immediate end to repetitive low-altitude training over neighborhoods

Full transition to unleaded fuel NOW, not years from now

Independent air quality testing so residents know the truth

Every day we wait is another day our children breathe in a neurotoxin that was banned in cars 30 years ago.
