Dear Supporters,
In the past few weeks, two heartbreaking tragedies have shaken our community, both tied to ongoing neglect and failure at Roseland Community Hospital.
Earlier this month, a suicidal and homicidal patient somehow left the hospital after hours of waiting for help and went on to take another life, a tragedy that could and should have been prevented.
And now, we are mourning the death of a young Black man who was just beginning his “happily ever after” with his fiancée. His family deserves answers and justice.
These are not isolated incidents. They are symptoms of a broken system that continues to fail the people of Roseland where lives are being lost due to understaffing, poor leadership, and a lack of oversight.
For months, Project34 has been calling for state and local officials to intervene, remove unsafe leadership, and establish a Community Oversight Board to protect patients and staff. But our calls and your signatures have been met with silence.
We cannot stay silent any longer.
We must raise our collective voice and demand change.
