Protect Horseshoe Bend: Stop the Page Data Center Project

Protect Horseshoe Bend: Stop the Page Data Center Project
The Issue
The City of Page, Arizona has agreed to sell 500 acres of land—less than one mile from the iconic Horseshoe Bend—to a private developer planning a massive 1GW data center. This decision threatens not only the environment, but also the cultural, ecological, and economic integrity of one of the most beloved natural landmarks in the American Southwest.
The land sale to Huntley LLC was approved in October 2025 by a 5–2 vote, despite serious public concern and calls for transparency. Thousands of residents and visitors have already spoken out, and now we’re joining together to say: this project does not belong here.
Data centers of this size require enormous energy and water resources—resources that are already strained in Northern Arizona. Horseshoe Bend draws millions of tourists each year, supporting local businesses and honoring the natural beauty of the region. The threat of industrial development so close to this fragile landscape is too great.
Community members have also raised concerns about the secretive nature of the deal, including emails showing the city was in discussions with Huntley LLC as early as 2024—before any public input or vote took place. The process lacked transparency. The outcome ignores the will of the people.
We are calling on the Page City Council and relevant zoning authorities to halt the project, reject any rezoning requests, and protect the land near Horseshoe Bend from this type of industrial development.
Let’s preserve Page’s natural beauty for future generations—not sacrifice it for private profit.
Sign this petition to demand transparency, protect the environment, and keep Page wild.
