The Issue

UPS is planning to lay off 20,000 workers and shut down 73 buildings by June 2025. These aren’t just numbers, they’re people. They’re the essential workers who made sure our packages arrived during the pandemic, holiday rushes, and every chaotic season in between.

Now UPS wants to reward them with pink slips.

Despite bringing in over $21 billion in revenue last quarter, UPS is slashing jobs and closing facilities, hurting workers and the communities that depend on these jobs. It’s all part of a plan to “boost profitability.” But who benefits from that profitability when thousands of families are left behind?

Every closed facility means fewer stable, good-paying jobs in towns and cities across America. Every layoff means a family wondering how to pay rent or afford groceries.

This isn’t just a business decision – it’s a betrayal of the people who built this company from the ground up.

We demand that UPS:

  • Halt the planned closures of local facilities
  • Reverse the decision to cut 20,000 jobs
  • Invest in workers and communities, not just profits

UPS has a choice: strip away the livelihoods of hardworking people, or stand by them.

Sign the petition to say loud and clear: we won’t let corporations cut their way to the top at the expense of working families.
