In recent years, freedom of expression in Pakistan has been under threat. According to the 2023 World Press Freedom Index by Reporters Without Borders, Pakistan ranks 150 out of 180 countries, indicating a severe lack of press freedom and freedom of expression. This situation is alarming as it hampers the democratic process and stifles the voices of citizens.

We call upon world leaders to use their influence and diplomatic channels to advocate for improved conditions for free speech in Pakistan. By doing so, they can help foster a society where individuals are free to express their views without fear or censorship. 

With this petition we, as concerned students that advocate for human rights for all, ask you to sign this petition to push world leaders to use all available resources to ensure that freedom of expression and human rights are protected within Pakistan.
