We have been served one months notice of eviction and we are 'shellshocked'.
It has been 5 years and we are still being treated abhorrently and unnacceptably by this agreesive organisation, Bolton Council.
CEO, Sue Johnson states that she has 'no appetite' to meet with us and wants a 'clean break'.
Just before Christmas Day Director of Corporate Resources, Justin Clough said that we would 'have a conversation in the New Year', however the baillifs arrive unnanounced instead. Once again they have lied to us. Bolton Council wanted us out New Years Eve 2024.
We have nowhere to go and there is no care, or consideration for the welfare of our animals and wildlife habitat.
300 years of heritage, history, livelihood and our 500 year old home will be destroyed.
There are also cats in our cattery who are indefinite stays due to their owners personal circumstances not being in a position to take them home.
It s impossible, unrealistic and cruel, our mental health is being pushed to the brink.
They leaders of Botlon Council are ruthless, arrogant and simply do not care...
Bolton Councils behaviour is not in keeping with https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-7-principles-of-public-life
Nor are they adhering to https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-rock-review-working-together-for-a-thriving-agricultural-tenanted-sector/the-rock-review-summary-and-recommendations
We are truly grateful for your support, it means everything to us and gives us strength at this harrowing time.
As we head up to 7000 signatures, we urge you all to share this petition far and wide with family, friend and work colleagues - The sooner we hit 10000 signatures, the better position we will be in to make changes for us and other Tenant Farmers who are being bullied by their Landlords.
