The new wheelie-bin and alternate-weekly waste collection system starts on 12 October 2026.

We understand the need to recycle and reduce waste — but we are concerned about the impact on elderly, disabled and mobility-impaired residents, especially people living in homes with stairs, steep paths or difficult access.

For some people, moving a large wheelie bin isn't just inconvenient — it can be dangerous.

We are asking Sevenoaks District Council to make sure vulnerable residents have safe, practical alternatives and that nobody is put at risk simply because they cannot physically manage a wheelie bin.
