My struggle as a parent with social services and child protection authorities highlights concerns about negligence and misuse of power. I refused to sign a form giving direct payment control for my autistic son's care to social services, preferring to manage the funds on his behalf. In response, the social worker allegedly fabricated an incident and threatened to break up our family, leading to both of my children being placed under child protection.

I have experienced poor communication and disorganization by care services, especially regarding respite care scheduling, and have been unfairly blamed for issues beyond my control. I also describe being harassed by frequent, lengthy social worker visits during school holidays and feeling bullied.

Serious concerns have been raised about the safety of my non-verbal autistic son at an overnight respite home, where he allegedly suffered repeated physical abuse and injuries, which were ignored by both the care home and social workers despite my complaints and evidence.

Despite eventually surrendering control of the care payments, the authorities continue to distrust me, stating that my children will only be removed from child protection if I give up all control of the funds. I believe I am being punished for standing up for my children's rights and that no one is willing to address the evidence of social worker negligence I have collected. I call for better protection of vulnerable disabled children and an end to their abuse.
