Hello friends,
Wow, 167 signatures! Our petition requesting ISP (Internet Service Providers) to make it easy for parents to filter out adult content from their home internet router is picking up speed!
Yet, it is not enough to have real leverage yet. Can you take a minute and share the petition on your own social networks, friends and family members? Let's try to reach 1000!
Here is a message you could use:
Help protect children online by signing this petition for safer internet practices: https://www.change.org/safer-online
Last week I talked about the petition to my 15 year old daughter and she told me she had seen pornographic ads while looking for a movie and landing on a streaming website... It's that easy.
If you need to take measures on protecting your own network, have a look at your home router and see if you can change the DNS name servers. I know of two working solutions: AdsGuard and OpenDNS. See if they work for you!
You can also set yours and your family's smartphones to use safe DNS. Here is how to do it.
I hope that this is useful to you. Let me know if you have any questions!
Be safe, be sharing the petition, and be well !
Alexandre.
PS: picture above was AI-generated with this prompt : "Kids sheltered from adult content on their smartphone". It reminded me of "Martine", a French kid comics book of my childhood...
