The Satanic Temple's Grey Faction has replied to our petition. Though we clearly answer and rebut their statements, they make the odd statement that our answers "only serves to affirm everything we've claimed to begin with." Of course, this is not true and we clearly rebutted the Grey Faction's statements. At the 2009 Connecticut conference, a vendor table sold clothing meant to block out electromagnetic signals for health reasons. This is how these items were originally presented to the conference committee. The Grey Faction has taken "this one thing totally out of proportion to attack and insult the Connecticut ritual abuse conferences." Other tables at the conference have always had literature and research articles. The Grey Faction makes their often cited claims that their claims are "factual" while ours are not. Of course this is just their opinion. Our facts are accurate. The Grey Faction makes the incorrect statement that "when Neil Brick claims that he would rape and kill under the influence of mind-control, and when he expresses fear that people merely touching their faces today can "trigger" his mind-control programming, his adult competency most certainly must be brought to question." Neil Brick was forced to hurt people as a small child by adults. This was against his will and many others have written about being forced to kill as children in cults, gangs and wars. This has nothing to do with adult competency. The truth is that many cult hand signals are motions around the face. This is why people are asked to try and avoid going to their face at the conference for safety reasons. Therefore, believing in this theory is accurate and does not mean a person has any sort of "competency" issues or other problems. The truth is: 1) Cults sometimes use hand signals to control their members. 2) "These signals (like hand signals) function as post-hypnotic suggestions, as anyone who is familiar with hypnosis will know. You might also remember Pavlov’s dog, who salivated at the sound of a bell. This is basic conditioning, stimulus-response. There is no evidence this is true. Just because the Grey Faction does not want to believe the stories of cult ritual abuse survivors, this does not mean the Grey Faction's opinion here has factual validity. The Grey Faction has no evidence these actual stories are inaccurate. The Grey Faction takes a quote from https://ritualabuse.us/smart-conference/conf2001/my-most-recent-memories-and-my-personal-growth/ leaving out the following sentences after the quote: "I felt better the next day. I realized that this was part of the programming to get very disoriented." Neil Brick clearly realized his fears were programming and not real. Yet the Grey Faction rebuttal reports his statements were a "wave of paranoia." The Grey Faction discussed an article written by Neil Brick over twenty years ago (published in 1995). They state that a belief in the concept of fetal torture..."demonstrates a complete lack of understanding regarding cognitive/behavioral development"....claims to be scientifically ludicrous." However there is research showing that trauma in the womb can effect the fetus. The Grey Faction discusses how our petition states "the board dismissed the complaint without prejudice. Neil Brick was found fit to practice with sound moral character after a full year of review from several sources." The original complaint was filed by those connected to the Grey Faction. Yet the Grey Faction continues its harassment of Neil Brick and the field by continuing to file these complaints. The Grey Faction writes that we state our work "is done in defense of survivors of child abuse." This is one reason we promote our research. The other reasons is to educate the general public about trauma. We believe that the Grey Faction's work undermines support systems for certain trauma survivors and undermines the belief in certain trauma theories that are strongly supported by scientific research. The Grey Faction claims we "further victimize the abused and mentally vulnerable." However no evidence is given to verify this. We support trauma survivors by promoting accurate research and accounts of personal trauma. The Grey Faction writes "let's not...ignore this threat to mental health consumer safety any longer." Yet they present no real evidence of any threat. The Grey Faction writes in their original petition attacking Neil Brick "we are not privy to records that indicate methods of treatment employed in Neil Brick’s practice." In other words, they have no real evidence of any "threat to mental health consumer safety." As we wrote in our petition: In our opinion, this is simply part of a continued pattern of on and offline attacks against Neil Brick and others who are trying to get the research out about child and ritual abuse and trauma. Do not believe the name calling and the inflammatory language used by Douglas Mesner/Lucien Greaves and the Grey Faction. Look at the facts, like the ones in this article and the urls at the end of the article. Those using name calling and the inflammatory language may want to sway your opinion without facts. Don't let this happen. We ask that child abuse survivors and their advocates to continue publishing their research and not be silenced by these on and offline attacks. Continue to speak out about child abuse crimes and work to stop these crimes. We ask you to sign this petition and let others know about it.
