The Issue

The Sportsman’s Paradise Preservation Group is a coalition of concerned citizens, neighbors, and conservationists dedicated to the long-term health of Caddo Parish. While we recognize the potential for economic growth and industrial development on State Line Road, we believe that progress should never come at the expense of our natural heritage or public trust.

Our group is not "anti-development"; we are pro-transparency. We believe that when a project of this magnitude utilizes our local infrastructure and natural resources, the community deserves a seat at the table and a clear view of the books. Our Core Principles & Demands:

100% Transparency: We demand the full disclosure of all site-specific environmental impact studies, utility agreements, and any non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) that prevent the public from understanding the true scope of this project.

Protection of Caddo Lake & Local Aquifers: Our water is our lifeblood. We demand a binding commitment that the facility will not jeopardize the water levels or quality of Caddo Lake or the surrounding residential wells.

Resource Accountability: We call for the mandatory, public reporting of all water withdrawal volumes and the implementation of advanced water-recycling technologies, such as closed-loop cooling, to minimize the strain on our local ecosystem.

Community Safeguards: We stand for the implementation of "drought-trigger" restrictions, ensuring that in times of water scarcity, the needs of the residents and the environment are prioritized over industrial consumption.

By signing this petition, you are demanding that the developers and local officials provide the clarity and protections necessary to ensure that Caddo Parish remains a "Sportsman’s Paradise" for generations to come. We deserve growth without secrecy.
