We, the undersigned residents of Wharton County, oppose the development of large-scale data centers or AI industrial facilities in or near Boling, Texas without full public transparency and comprehensive environmental, water, and infrastructure studies.

Data centers consume massive amounts of water and electricity, permanently alter land use, disrupt wildlife, and provide minimal long-term employment while placing lasting strain on rural communities.

We call on Wharton County officials to:

• Enact a moratorium on data center approvals
• Require full environmental and resource impact studies
• Protect agricultural land, water resources, and rural quality of life

Our community is not expendable infrastructure.
