Question 3 passed, now what? (Say no to a bike trail along Nine Mile Creek)

Greetings! You are receiving this email because you signed the change.org petition against a bike trail along Nine Mile Creek in Bloomington MN. This message is for residents of the Twin Cities Metro area only.

As you (probably) know, Question 3 passed, which means that the City of Bloomington is going to start researching whether or not to put in a bike trail. They say they will request public input. If you are interested in finding out ways you can help, read on.

First, we’ve set up an email list where we will notify you of opportunities to make your voices heard. You can join that here: https://tinyletter.com/ProtectTheNine. Your email will never be sold or used for any other purpose.

If you don’t want to do either of those things (and even if you do), here are some other ideas for what you can do on your own:

1. Write to the Director of Parks and Recreation, Ann Kattreh to a) tell her why you don’t want a bike trail along Nine Mile Creek, and/or b) to volunteer to be on any advisory committees they are setting up. Her email address is: akattreh@bloomingtonmn.gov

   d) Under Parks, Arts, and Recreation, choose Parks and Recreation (General) and Trail projects in and around Bloomington
   
   
3. Sign up for Let’s Talk Bloomington to weigh in on matters related to the park. There is nothing there now, but in the future there could be. You’ll need to check in periodically to see what’s new. https://letstalk.bloomingtonmn.gov/
   
   
4. Write a letter to the editor or an op ed piece for the Sun Current local paper (https://www.hometownsource.com/sun_current/ Guidelines for letters to the editor are that it has to be 300 words or less. 5. Write a letter to the editor for the Minn Post, an online paper for all of Minnesota. voices@minnpost.com
